Impact of Sobheye Wou Fan Weekly Sessions on Women

I want to take a moment to share something truly special with you—our Sobheye Wou Fan sessions (Therapeutic Art for Women), which have become a cornerstone of our community at Marwa Hachem’s Fine Arts Studio.

These therapeutic art sessions, designed specifically for women, have transformed from a once-a-month gathering to a weekly sanctuary of creativity and healing. Today, I want to tell you why these sessions mean so much to me and the incredible impact they’ve had on the women who attend.

The Power of Intimacy in Small Groups

When we first started Sobheye Wou Fan, we held sessions once a month with larger groups. While these gatherings were wonderful, I soon realized that something was missing. Art therapy, by its very nature, requires a safe and intimate space for people to truly open up and express themselves. When there are too many people, it’s human nature to feel guarded and hesitant to share.

Switching to weekly sessions with smaller groups has made all the difference. The atmosphere is more relaxed, and the women feel more comfortable and secure. This change has allowed us to foster deeper connections and more meaningful conversations. In these smaller settings, the true magic happens—women feel free to express their emotions, share their stories, and support each other without fear of judgment.

Redefining Success

In the world of business, success is often measured by numbers—large groups, high revenue, more clients. But through my journey with Sobheye Wou Fan, I’ve come to realize that success can’t always be quantified. True success is seeing a woman’s face light up with confidence after completing an art project. It’s witnessing someone transform a negative feeling into a positive one. It’s hearing a participant say they feel grateful and uplifted after a session.

For me, success is about creating a space where women feel valued, heard, and empowered. It’s about making a difference in someone’s life, even if it’s just one person at a time. This is why I decided to focus on smaller groups—because it aligns with my mission and my “why.”

Why We Do What We Do

Every business has an underlying purpose, a “why” that drives everything. For me, my “why” is simple: I want to help people feel better about themselves. I want to provide a safe space where women can explore their creativity, gain confidence, and find healing through art. Over the past two years, I’ve seen firsthand how larger groups can indirectly dilute this mission. It becomes harder to give each person the attention and support they need.

By limiting the number of participants in our Sobheye Wou Fan sessions, we’ve been able to create an environment where women feel comfortable and unjudged. This intimate setting allows for deeper engagement and more personalized guidance, making each session a powerful experience for everyone involved.

The Impact on Our Community

The shift to smaller, weekly sessions has had a profound impact on our community. Women who were once shy and hesitant are now embracing their creativity with confidence. They leave our sessions feeling inspired, motivated, and ready to tackle new challenges. One participant told me that the positive energy and support she receives at Sobheye Wou Fan stays with her for days, influencing her interactions and boosting her overall well-being.

These sessions have also created a sense of camaraderie among the women. They’ve formed friendships, shared laughs, and supported each other through personal struggles. It’s a beautiful reminder that art is not just about creating something visually pleasing—it’s about connecting with others and finding strength in shared experiences.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow and evolve, I’m excited to see how Sobheye Wou Fan will continue to impact the lives of women in our community. My goal is to keep providing a space where women can feel safe, express themselves freely, and leave each session feeling more confident and empowered.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Your stories, your courage, and your creativity inspire me every day. If you haven’t yet experienced the magic of Sobheye Wou Fan, I invite you to join us. Let’s continue to create, heal, and grow together.

With love and gratitude…
